Welcome to Equine EARTH

We provide long and short term equine and creative art COUNSELLING for adults and children, on a 1:1 basis, for couples and in small groups.

At Equine Earth we use body awareness techniques to help us connect to our internal world.  This connection challenges our incongruence as it brings our authentic self to the fore.

Then we meet the herd, being aware of our boundaries and their boundaries. If you are grounded and authentic in how you are feeling, the ponies will work with you and help you connect to yourself and your inner wisdom.  They can help you to explore your emotions, release blocks and discover new and healthier ways of being.

Jo also offers drawing and talking, a therapy for children, to help them express their thoughts and feelings through imagery.

Art work can also be incorporated into therapy with adults to help express feelings which are too hard to articulate.

We provide WOODLAND and ART RETREATS for small groups of friends or like-minded people who share a love of nature and ponies.

We have a retreat programme for a group of 6 people, aimed at improving self awareness and letting go of emotions held in the body. With individual and group exercises which include connecting with the herd, woodlands, the environment and each other, alfresco dining and sleeping in a tree hammock in the ancient woodland.

Each retreat is slightly different depending on the time of year, the weather, the different skills of practitioners and the group itself. If you prefer to stay in a local B&B and to have meals provided by a caterer, we can organise these for an extra, reasonable charge.

We provide SUPERVISION for Counsellors and Equine Therapy Practitioners, as individuals or in small groups.

Supervision at Equine Earth can be carried out with or without the help of the herd. As you present your work with your clients, the herd will tune into the presented energy and through gheir body language, mirror something you had not identified or considered.

At EquineEARTH all counsellors and equine therapists are members or accredited members of BACP and abide by their code of ethics. We also attend personal supervision and CPD courses. Contact BACP for further details.

If you are a freelance practitioners or therapist you can  HIRE OUR FACILITIES and work alongside our herd on a regular basis.  Please contact us .
