Launching of Equine EARTH Spring 2019
As some of you may recall, our site here was previously used as the training ground for LEAP an Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy and Learning business of which Jo was a part of. Since LEAP’s departure to pastures new, Jo concentrated on her own private counselling and supervision service, offered with and without the herd. Jo’s love of art, ponies and nature evolved quickly into her new business venture Equine EARTH which is getting ready to launch to the public in Spring 2019.
Retreats with Nature, Art and Native Ponies
Jo advertised for a retirement livery, ideally a gelding, to help balance out the therapy herd. Cue Jac, Georgie’s pony who joined the herd this summer and he made himself at home very quickly. Georgie began to visit him regularly from Dorset and enjoyed getting away from it all, to be in the woodlands and with all the herd. The idea for retreats naturally evolved from there, friends were invited to stay and experience the same. By late summer they had trialled a Woodland Retreat on their first group and invited in an additional practitioner Jeni Edge who is a psychotherapist, clean facilitator and massage therapist. Both Jo and Georgie are arty so along side Woodland Retreats, we are also launching Creative Art Retreats details of which will be published shortly.
Madeleine Walker – Animal Communicator and Spiritual Empowerment Coach
Equine EARTH are really excited to announce that Madeleine is intending to host two courses here in the summer next year. For further details see both Gateway to the Ancients and Animal Communication (level 1-3) and calendar for dates. If you would like to book on either please contact us or Madeleine.

Team DIY Days

Equine EARTH has contacted local groups and teams that may be able to help here with the skills and energy needed to get the land ready for business in Spring but as yet no luck. We were however lucky to find a DIY guru in Eve Higgs who works at same surgery as Georgie. Eve, based in Somerset, leads the new team and has come up with some genius and resourceful solutions for DIY with no electricity on the site. If you would like to join us on one of these days, please check calendar for next date and contact us to book in. As a thank you for helping out in the team over the year we offer one of our Retreats annually and exclusively for this group.
Equine Facilitated Supervision
Just ahead of our launch date, we are pleased to have formed our first Equine Supervision Group with counsellors from Dorset/Somerset. If you are interested in forming your own group or joining a group please contact us. Jo also runs individual supervision sessions with or without the herd.
Tribute to Magic

One of our friends Rachel tragically lost her ‘horse in a million’, Magic. We organised a memorial services here in the Woodlands, using the fire pit. We planted an Oak Tree from the Woodland Trust as a tribute to Magic.
If this is a service you would be interested in, please contact us and we can discuss further.
Next time
One of our blogs earmarked for publication. Equine photographer Janos Borbely visits us to do a photo shoot. More exciting news from our projects. Our next newsletter will be ready for Winter publication.
Thanks for your support, Equine Earth
